Photography and Imaging giant Canon Canada is getting ready to shell out some cash for environmental projects across the country.
The company has started its Nurture Nature Awards.
Three recipients from across Canada will receive 20 thousand dollars.
Wayne Doyle — the Senior Manager for Corporate Communications at Canon — says they can use the money to encourage the protection or improvement of the natural habitat of an endangered or threatened species.
Doyle says projects like planting trees on rivers to reclaim the habitat is just one example.
It’s too late to make a submission for this year’s awards.
The winners will be announced later this month.
