Just in time for what many identify as the final weekend of summer.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reports that Lonely Island Beach near Oliphant has now been re-opened.
It had been posted unsafe for swimming since July 30th however tests now show that the water is within acceptable bacterial levels.
Couldn’t have happened at a better time.
Looks like a perfect summer weekend and water temperature of area watering holes is around 21 celsius.
