Grey Bruce Health Services is moving patients out of the Markdale hospital which is next to the Chapman’s ice cream plant.
Two in patients have been discharged and 8 others are being sent to the Meaford hospital as a precaution.
But officials say the Markdale E-R will remain open.
It will only close if the air quality becomes poor.
