Yet another, big marijuana drug bust in the area.
Members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, along with members of the Western Region Emergency Response Team and Grey County OPP executed a Search Warrant Thursday.
The search was concentrated on a rural property on Concession 14 in Georgian Bluffs near Francis Lake.
An outdoor marijuana grow-op was found with over 17 hundred plants seized.
The approximate street value is in excess of 1.7 million dollars.
A 40 year-old male arrested on the property remains in custody pending a bail hearing in Owen Sound on Friday..
His name will not be released until formal charges are laid.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information that might assist is asked to contact Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
