A cottage break-in on Chesley Island has seen much of the property recovered.
Bruce Peninsula OPP were called to the Chesley Lake area to investigate several thefts and the break-ins during the day Monday.
Investigation indicates the culprits stole the cottage owners boat from the marina, attended the island, broke into the cottage and left taking a boat motor, liquor, stereo equipment and a power tool.
A sea-doo which was docked at the island was also taken.
But the good news is all the property was recovered near the mainland shore and has been returned to the owner, less the beer consumed by the culprits.
A second boat motor, a 2 hp Honda, from another cottager is still missing as well as two golf carts from the Chesley Lake Camp Golf Course.
If any member of the public has information that will help police solve these crimes, please call the O.P.P. or Crime Stoppers
