An Owen Sound family is pleading with whoever stole their moving van to return some very important items.
Police say their fully loaded 26 foot U-Haul was in the driveway of their 9th Avenue East home Monday night when it was stolen just before midnight.
It contained all of the family’s furniture, clothing, even food — but most important to the family are certain items belonging to their sick 2 year old daughter.
A family member tells Bayshore Broadcasting News their daugther has gone through several heart surgeries and other procedures since she’s been born.
The moving truck contained a record of the girl’s medical procedures as well as her medication, stroller, cribs and toys.
The family says insurance will cover the 30 thousand dollars worth of furniture and clothing but cannot replace the personal or sentimental items.
The family has now moved from Owen Sound to Guelph.
The U-Haul looks like every other one in the province but it did have Arizona plates.
If you have any information call Owen Sound police or Crime Stoppers.
