Those heading to Inverhuron Bike Park are in for a pleasant surprise.
Improvements have been made over the summer and Kincardine manager of Economic Development and Tourism, Steve Murray says a lot of the work has been geared for the youngsters who don’t have all the biking skills yet.
Murray says the work is completed for this year and it includes an easy blue square trail for those just taking up the sport of mountain biking, along with an easy loop throughout the bush for the family to enjoy.
He says the municipality has put up signage now directing you to the park at the end of Richards Drive.
Before there was confusion with Inverhuron Provincial Park.
Murray says there’s one more phase to the estimated 70 thousand dollar facility.
He says they’ll be going to Kincardine Council next year looking for another 20 to 30 thousand dollars to complete the double diamond trail, which is the one for experts and they weren’t able to make the link to the provincial park as well.
