It’s an opportunity for a local restaurant chain to help other.
A&W is ‘Cruisin’ the Dub’ from coast to coast tonight in an effort to raise money for the MS Society.
Owen Sound and Mount Forest owner Patrick Torpey says a dollar from every teen burger sold today will go towards the cause.
The festivities will also feature vintage cars and good old fashioned service.
Torpey says for a few hours in the evening — any vehicle that pulls up the restaurant will be able to get ‘car hop’ service — meaning local ‘celebrities’ and politicians will bring your meal right to your car.
The event also includes vintage car displays — in fact they’re expecting upwards of 35 thousand classic cars to take part from coast to coast.
Torpey says the fundraiser was done as a pilot project out west last year and was such a success — they’ve expanded it nation-wide.
