An 11 year old boy from Ayton is being remembered today.
A private funeral was held for Owen McPherson of Ayton — the boy who died when a tornado ripped through Durham last week.
He was attending a day camp at the conservation area when he was killed by debris when the twister hit just before 4 o’clock last Thursday.
Officials have called for a better emergency warning system in hopes no one will die from future storms.
