An update to a missing person story we reported on a few weeks ago.
The body of a man was found floating in the Tobermory Harbour just before 8 PM last night.
Bruce Peninsula OPP say it was discovered by crew members of the Chi-Cheemaun as they were docking the boat.
When the body was brought ashore by police, it was determined it belonged to that of a man reported missing by his family back on August 9th.
Fifty year old Clarence Smids of Erin Township was last seen boarding the vessel that day.
The man’s family has been notified; an autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.
