Collingwood’s Ethanol plant is shutting down part of its operation again.
The plant has been getting more noise and smell complaints from people who live nearby.
Plant Manager Martin Kazmir says the pellet mill system has failed and has been shut down until technical issues can be looked at early next week.
Kazmir says he is confident they can fix the system, but they won’t start it up again until it is.
The pellet mill was just re-started on Monday after a change in the process was put in place.
The system is now a closed-loop process — which means air is re-used in the process instead of being released into the atmosphere when the feed pellets are made.
