Pending approval from health officials, the Goderich Farmers’ Market is set to return.
In prior years, farmers would gather between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays between Victoria Day and Thanksgiving to sell local produce in the town’s Courthouse Park.
While COVID-19 has delayed the market, Mayor John Grace says preparations are underway to bring it back Saturday, June 13th.
Although the market is pending approval from Huron Perth Public Health, Grace says a number of measures will be in place to keep patrons protected from spreading the coronavirus.
They include spacing vendors farther than prior years, prohibiting the sampling of food, and making hand washing stations available for the general public.
Grace says face masks are suggested, but not required, and customer-supplied containers will not be allowed.
