Another phase of the Collingwood ethanol plant re-start goes today.
The pellet mill will re-start operations this morning, after plant officials say they’ve made a number of changes to get rid of odour generated.
The system is now a closed-loop process, which means air is re-used in the process instead of being released into the atmosphere when the feed pellets are made.
General Manager Martin Kazmir says workers will do evaluations at the mill to make sure there are no emissions once it has re-started.
After two years of controversy and complaints, the plant closed earlier this summer to comply with orders from the Ministry of the Environment to reduce its noise and smell emissions.
