The first annual Peak to Shore Music Fest is underway in Collingwood, Thornbury, and the Village at Blue.
Organizer Frank McNulty says there are 16 different jazz and blues acts, and 7 different venues for the festival.
He says 40 percent of the talent is local, but they tried to come up with a very diverse range of acts.
He adds the different stages are dedicated to specific genres too.
The goal of the event was to get a regional focus, which is why the festival is spread out across Collingwood, Blue Mountain, and Thornbury with a common jazz and blues theme.
The headliner is Alannah Myles, who is hitting the stage at the Village at Blue tonight at 7 o’clock.
McNulty says they’re hoping for a broad draw of people coming to the festival, including locals, people on vacation, and jazz and blues fans as well.
He says all of the concerts are free, including Alannah Myles.
