Another successful Relay For Life in Kincardine.
The 12 hour Canadian Cancer Society fundraiser, held last night in at the Davidson Centre raised over 80 thousand dollars.
Event Organizer Norrie Dickson says more money is still coming in and she expects they will hit the 100 thousand dollar mark.
Dickson says the beautiful weather really helped the event atmosphere and kept participants walking on the track all night long.
She says the entire event was very exciting and emotional with the Survivors Lap and Luminary Ceremony – which honours both cancer survivors and those who have lost their battle.
Dickson says the number of teams from last year’s event is down by two – but the amount of money is expected to be about the same.
Entertainment was ongoing all night long, including five bands, one singer, three dancers and games.
