A couple of traffic safety reminders from Saugeen Shores Police.
Officers have conducted random seatbelt checks over the past week and issued 18 warnings to people who weren’t buckled up.
Not wearing a seatbelt can result in a 110 dollar fine.
And Police Chief Dan Rivett says this is something police shouldn’t have to remind you that is dangerous.
The driver of a van in the Gobles Grove area was recently charged after being found towing three people behind the vehicle — on roller blades.
Rivett says the consequences of doing something like this are enough proof about why it’s against the law.
