Grey County OPP are looking for a few angels, a couple of gargoyles and some thieves.
Police say they have received several recent reports of lawn ornaments being stolen from homes in Markdale and Georgian Bluffs.
While you might think such crimes are trivial — police say some of the ornaments are fairly costly and had significant sentimental value.
Three concrete angels worth about 300 dollars were taken from a lawn in Markdale last Friday.
The angels — the tallest of the three about a metre high — were placed there in memory of a deceased loved one.
Two concrete gargoyles valued at about 400 dollars were stolen last Wednesday earlier from the entrance to a private drive south of Alvanley.
Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
