Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller isn’t daunted by the possibility of having to face Green Party Leader Elizabeth May in the next federal election.
May has been in the riding last week — speaking at Kelso Beach in Owen Sound last night and at Bruce Peninsula National Park on Wednesday.
Miller thinks parachute candidates who don’t live in the riding they hope to represent generally don’t receive a lot of support at the polls.
Miller says he is also proud of his record and would not take any prospective opponent for granted.
In the meantime — May tells Bayshore Broadcasting News she wants to gauge public and party support before deciding where to win a seat in the House of Commons.
May is also considering a Guelph riding as well as two in British Columbia.
