Meaford council is taking steps to ensure residents are kept informed about where their tax dollars are going.
Council has begun publishing quarterly reports that contain breakdowns from all departments.
Councillor Cynthia Lemon says they cover everything from road work to water and sewer services to garbage pickup.
Lemon says the reports also include updates about things like the harbour, Meaford Hall, and Memorial Park.
The reports are posted online on Meaford’s website and are also being made available throughout the municipality.
Lemon says she hasn’t heard any feedback from the public yet, but points out the first report was only published in June, and the second in July.
Lemon says this is a positive step as they’ve had trouble in the past with communication between council and residents.
