Hanover’s new LCBO store is now open for business.
The newly constructed building is located on Hanover’s east end beside Shoppers Drug Mart and opened in time for the August holiday weekend.
Manager Wayne Metrow says the LCBO outgrew its old location located at the west end of town.
The new 8 thousand square foot building is twice as big as the old store front which served as the LCBO store for half a century.
With a bigger building, Metrow says the LCBO has been able to offer a lot more products and has increased its portfolio by 50 percent.
The stores refrigeration has also gone from 16 feet to 52 feet.
The extra room has allowed the LCBO store to now offer Vintage Essentials, higher end wines and spirits from around the world.
The new store also offers longer hours of operation and is now wheelchair accessible.
Two new employees have also been added to the branch.
