Collingwood is challenging a recent decision by one of its neighbours over a proposed new development.
Council has decided to ask the town’s commercial consultant to look into the impact on the area of a plan to build 215 homes and 130 seniors’ units on 25 hectares of land on Highway 26 West.
The Terrasan project in Craigleith would also include 100 thousand square feet of commercial space.
But the Blue Mountains council has not supported the need for the commecial component.
Collingwood council feels it’s worth looking into because that amount of commercial business could have a big impact of Collingwood.
The issue is coming before Blue Mountains council again in August and Collingwood wants it deffered until September or October so there’s more time to gather the necessary information.
