Fairy Lake in Southampton is a quiet, serene place to take a walk, and it could soon see some improvements.
Saugeen Shores Councillor Diane Huber says money was budgeted this year to replace the retaining wall on the High Street side of the lake, and adds the park hasn’t had a lot of attention in recent years.
She says muncipal staff have already been looking at the retaining wall to see what has to be done.
Huber says a number of residents have suggested some gardening and trail upgrades, and improvements to water quality could be made.
She says there is only one small fountain in the lake, and groups are trying to imagine the possibility of adding a second one.
Fairy Lake is located behind the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton.
