Lucknow’s Music in the Fields is supporting Canadian soldiers.
Huron-Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan says he recently travelled with members of the Lucknow Kinsmen Club to C-F-B Borden.
He presented the Commanding Officer with 100 tickets to Music in the Fields for soldiers to use and come and enjoy the big country music event on August 22nd.
Twolan says it’s all about supporting Canadian troops and thinks the Kinsmen had a great idea by giving soldiers a chance to have a day away from their normal activities.
Twolan expects tickets will go especially fast in the last two or three weeks before the event and there is interest from all over Ontario.
He adds that camping and shuttle buses will be provided.
Headlining Music in the Fields are Johnny Reed, Doc Walker, George Canyon, and Beverly Mahood.
The event will be hosted by Randy and Mr. Leahy from the Trailer Park Boys.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the Huron-Kinloss municipal office in Ripley.
