Lonely Island Beach in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula has been posted as unsafe for swimming.
Officials from the Health Unit report two consecutive water samples from the beach in Oliphant exceed Ministry of Health standards for acceptable bacteria levels.
As a result — warning signs have been posted.
They advise swimmers that there are high levels of bacteria in the water, which may pose a risk to your health.
The area will remain posted until 2 consecutive samples indicate the water is safe.
