There is a new committee in Chesley.
Ron Klages is the co-chair of the newly formed “Main Street Committee”.
It’s been formed to address issues raised by business people in a recently completed survey.
Klages says the survey showed the desire for a revitalization of Chesley’s downtown area following work from the “Big Dig” in Chesley next year.
Klages and others hope to see an improved look of the building facades, better signage, new benches and waste containers and improved look of street poles and lighting.
Klages says they conduct a more formal study done to substantiate the desires.
He hopes they will receive some government funding to offset the cost.
