It was tough to find a place to stand to watch the Elvis Festival parade in downtown Collingwood today.
Bayshore Broadcasting News Reporter Catherine Thomspon tells us hundreds of people were standing three and four deep along Hurontario Street as Elvis Tribute artists rode in on classic cars
The tribute artists shouted greetings to the crowd and some even sang a few bars of popular Elvis tunes as they paraded in.
Simcoe Grey MP Helena Guergis was even in one of the cars with an Elvis.
Once the cars reached the end of the parade route, the tribute artists took some time to pose for photos with fans.
Performances continue all day today at the Gayety Theatre and on the Festival Gardens stage in the arena parking lot on Ste. Marie Street as well as at the Curling Club and in Meaford and the Blue Mountains.
Something new this year is a clambake being held at Millenium Park tonight starting at six.
The midway is also running through out the day today.
