If you have any old paint, solvents, batteries or gas or oil — this is the time to get rid of it.
Another Household Hazardous Waste day is being held today in Lion’s Head, Sauble Beach and in Owen Sound.
In Lion’s Head — you can drop off your waste at the Northern Bruce Peninsula Works Yard from 8 AM to 10 AM.
At Sauble Beach — you can drop off you hazardous waste from 12 Noon to 2:30 PM at the Amabel Works Yard.
In Owen Sound — you can bring your waste to the Public Works office on 20th Street East from 9 AM till 3 PM.
The cities Environmental Superintendent Chris Hughes says this is not just for Owen Sound residents but for just about every municipality in Grey County with the exception of Hanover.
Some of the things that won’t be accepted are things that may contain PCB’s, medical waste and nothing radioactive — they don’t take smoke detectors.
