Building stats for the first half of 2009 are down in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Chief Building Official Bill Klingenberg reports the value of construction fell just shy of 8-million dollars.
The township issued 114 permits in the first 6 months of this year — 19 of those permits were for new residential homes.
In 2008 — 131 permits were issued with a total construction value of over 12-million dollars.
Mayor Alan Barfoot says he is pleased with the building activity and is looking forward to a steady construction season for the remainder of this year.
