Owen Sound’s harbourfront is getting a splash of colour.
Local artist Ted Renner has offered to make original artist banner’s for the City of Owen Sound.
Mayor Ruth Lovell Stanners says Renner brought the proposal to council and they are behind him all the way.
The first banner will be used along the harbour wall and then eventually throughout the city.
Lovell Stanners says Renner will find sponsors for the banner’s so it won’t be a cost for the city.
She says they are not sure how many banner’s will be going up because it will depend on the number of sponsors that show interest.
Lovell Stanners says it will be a really colourful and beautiful addition to the waterfront.
