Monday is the 40th anniversary of man landing on the surface of the moon.
It was on July 20 1969 that Neil Armstrong became the first person to set foot on the moon.
Millions of people around the world watched the event live on TV and remember it to this very day.
Bayshore Broadcasting News asked listeners where they were 40 years ago when history was made on the Lunar surface.
Many callers say they were children at the time and their parents called them from outside to watch the moon landing.
Others say they were traveling and pulled off the road to make sure they did not miss this historic event.
One caller says the lunar landing was a turning point that resulted in her developing a life long interest in astronomy.
All of the callers say even now, 40 years later this event remains one of the most remarkable things they have ever seen.
