Huronia West OPP are investigating a drowning in the Nottawasaga River at Wasaga Beach.
It happened Saturday afternoon around 4:20 PM..
Huronia West OPP, Wasaga Beach Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a report of a man having gone under the water in the Nottawasaga River and who had not surfaced.
It happened near Jacques Landing Campground off of Klondike Park Road.
A water search was done almost immediately by people nearby and was continued by members of the Wasaga Beach Fire Department.
They found the man in the river shortly after 5:30 PM.
He was immediately taken to Collingwood Hospital but pronounced dead.
The victim is identified as 23 year old Nelson Nogaro of Toronto.
