Residents in and around Tobermory and Wiarton can rid their homes of hazardous waste this weekend.
Items that are corrosive, toxic, reactive or flammable can be dropped off for free at the St. Edmund’s Works Shed on Highway 6 in Tobermory Saturday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
Items can be dropped off at the Bruce County Highways Garage on Berford Street in Wiarton between 1 PM and 3 PM.
The goal is to allow residents to dispose of household hazardous waste at no cost, and safely.
Items that can and can’t be dropped off – are listed on line at www.brucecounty.on.ca
A drop off runs next weekend in Southampton, and there are five more upcoming dates in August.
Those details are available on line as well.
