Now is a great time to enrol your child in summer camp in Hanover.
The down turn in the economy has resulted in a 9 percent drop in summer camp enrolment numbers leaving lots of available space.
In the past parents had to act quick to enrol their child and often deal with long waiting lists.
This year there is no waiting.
Program Manager Sherri Walden says Hanover’s Summer Fun Club and Specialty Camps are still taking in new registrants.
She says summer camp runs straight through to August.
The full day program runs straight through to the end of August.
Each day includes a variety of activities, crafts, games, sports and of course lots of swimming.
The summer camp program is geared towards 5 to 10 year olds.
Walden calls it a great way to combat those summertime boredom blues that kids often experience mid way into the summer holidays.
It’s Walden’s hope the low enrolment numbers will rebound by next year with the economy.
