Many local fans are excited about the new Harry Potter movie.
Dozens stayed up to catch the Midnight special screening of “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” at the Port Elgin Cinemas.
Tickets went on sale at 10:30 PM Tuesday for that showing and fans wanting to see the movie lined the street to buy a ticket starting at 7 PM, complete with lawnchairs and costumes.
A number of teens also stayed up to turn the lobby at the Galaxy Cinemas in Owen Sound into Hogwarts.
They started work around Midnight and it took them hours to finish their project in conjunction with the United Way.
The latest film in the Harry Potter series opens in Owen Sound at 11:30 AM today.
