After over a month of interviews, Collingwood Council has chosen someone to replace the town’s CAO out of 200 applicants for the job.
Kimberly Ann Wingrove will take over for Gord Norris on September 8th.
Norris is reriting after serving the town for 31 years, the last four of them as the Chief Administrative Officer.
Mayor Chris Carrier says he’s confident council has made the right decision.
Wingrove is from Guelph and Mayor Carrier says she has told him she always had her sights set on Collingwood as a place to work and live.
She has been the Director of Regional Economic Development Programming for the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ontario.
Wingrove has also held senior positions with Ontario’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
