Wasaga Beach is about to get a Community Health Centre.
The Board of the Centre says it has started looking for space to house the facility, after getting the go-ahead from the Ministry of Health.
Community Health Centres are designed to provide primary care to people who don’t have a family doctor, or who have barriers to accessing health services, such as transportation issues, poverty or disabilities.
Once it’s up and running there will be fifteen staff members, including doctors, nurses and social workers, addictions counsellors dieticians and youth workers.
