West Grey’s municipal auditor, Al White of B-D-O Dunwoody, delivered his 2008 financial report to Council on Monday.
Mayor Kevin Eccles says there was some concern a few years ago about their working capital being low compared to their tax arrears.
But he says over the past 2 years they have been able to level that off and at the same time top up their reserves.
White noted that the Municipality has some good controls in place when it comes to handling tax dollars.
Eccles says there doesnt seem to be any indication of fraud or concerns in that area.
Eccles says while they have borrowed money against their infrastructure they are well within their borrowing limits.
He says they are not putting the Municipality in a huge borrowing position.
