No wrecking ball for the Hanover Coliseum yet.
It looks like it will be at least another week before the coliseum demolition project begins.
Recreation Facilities Manager Dale Steinhoff says some last minute details are still being worked out.
It involves disconnecting all of the existing services and determining where the new services can be hooked in.
Steinhoff says if all goes as planned demolition will begin on July 14th or 15th.
The demolition process will be a gradual one, as the coliseum will be taken a part piece by piece.
This will allow the demolition company to reuse and recycle as much material from the coliseum as possible, limiting the amount that will end up in the landfill.
Because of this the entire demolition process will take about a month to complete.
Despite the demolition delay, officials are still expecting the construction of the entire 8.8 million dollar Hanover Regional Recreation Complex to be complete by next July.
The new complex will be built on site of the current 46 year old coliseum.
It will feature an NHL sized hockey rink, an indoor walking track and an auditorium.
