Huron Bruce Liberal MPP Carol Mitchell isn’t doing cart-wheels at the selection of Tim Hudak as the new leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.
Mitchell says the party might as well drop the word “Progressive” from their name now that Hudak is leader.
She says Hudak admits he’s “right of right” on the political spectrum and she and everyone else will have to see how that plays out in the months ahead.
She admits her heart sunk a bit when she saw a photo of Hudak and former Premier Mike Harris on the front page of a Toronto newspaper over the weekend.
Mitchell says her government is still managing its way through the damage that was done by the Harris government.
Hudak was chosen leader of the Ontario PC’s over the weekend.
