A small fire did about 15 thousand dollars worth of damage in a new apartment building near the Bayshore community centre in Owen Sound.
Firefighters were called to apartment 6, at 1827 3rd Avenue East around 5:30 yesterday afternoon.
They evacuated the building and quickly put out a “Dryer fire” in the upper apartment.
No one was injured.
Damage was contained to the machine, along with some smoke damage in the apartment itself.
