Water pressure will remain low for Some Owen Sound residents for another two weeks.
The City shut down the Beattie Street Pumping Station last week and it was to return to service today.
However, city of Owen Sound officials released a statement today saying the on-going watermain work at 8th Street and 2nd Avenue West is not completed yet.
As a result, the Beattie street pumping station will remain shut down.
Water pressure south of 8th street west and west of 2nd avenue west will remain about a third normal until Friday July 10th.
Officials say homeowners will notice a third reduction in water pressure — but it will not affect water quality.
Owen Sound Environmental superintendant Chris Hughes says the reconstruction work will assure the integrity of the underground services in the area for several years to come.
