It’s time for the workers at Westario to strut their stuff.
Westario CEO Lisa Milne invites everyone to attend the annual Rescue Rodeo taking place at the Westario offices in Walkerton tomorrow at 9:30 AM.
Milne says the friendly exhibition and competition allows the journeymen linemen to take their skills and show how they go about doing their bucket rescue and bucket evacuation as well as a pole-top rescue.
She says although there is a competition but the important thing is to allow the staff to hone their skills in making the rescues within a three minute time period.
Milne says the Rescue Rodeo is open to everyone and should last a couple of hours tomorrow.
She says besides the general public, Westario’s board of directors have been invited as well.
The display will take place at the offices in Walkerton in the East Ridge Industrial Park.
13 linemen and some co-op students will be involved in the Rescue Rodeo.
