An official opening ceremony will be held tomorrow for the new Port Elgin Medical Centre — and the facility will have a new name too.
The Doctor Earl Health Centre designation will honour the longtime local physician who has shown a significant commitment towards the health and well-being of area residents.
Doctor and Mrs. Earl also made a significant contribution towards the construction work needed at the facility, which is located in a converted supermarket building.
Councillor Thead Seaman says the right decision was made to name the facility after Doctor Earl.
The ribbon cutting takes place at 10 AM tomorrow at the medical clinic on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.
