Progressive Conservatives around the province have one more chance to vote for the new party leader.
The voting takes place today.
In the riding of Huron Bruce — voting takes place from 3 PM to 9 PM at the Lucknow arena.
In the riding of Bruce Grey Owen Sound — voting takes place from 3 PM to 9 PM at the Owen Sound Legion.
Local Riding Association President Sam Luckhardt hopes for a good turnout.
He says Sunday’s vote saw 127 party members vote for a new leader.
Luckhardt says the leadership race has resulted in more people taking out party memberships and almost 500 people in total are eligible to vote .
He says after the voting is complete, the ballots then will be sent off to Markham and counted Saturday at the party leadership convention with the new leader being announced sometime in the afternoon.
Luckhardt says while he cant reveal who he will vote for, the new leader will have to move quickly to unify the party and prepare for the next Provincial election that comes in the fall of 2011.
He says the new leader also has to appeal to a broad variety of people right across the Province.
Luckhardt says three of the candidates managed to visit the riding during the campaign, with only Frank Klees not venturing into Grey Bruce.
Besides Klees, Tim Hudak, Christine Elliot and Randy Hillier are running for the PC Leadership.
