The Auditors Report is in and the Hanover and District Hospital has received a clean bill of health.
BDO Dunwoody Accountant John Hunt says the Hospital had a good year.
The hospital managed to end the fiscal year with a 224 thousand dollar surplus — but it did so with 12.9 million dollars in assets.
Hunt notes this is the 8th year in a row that the Hanover Hospital has managed to end the year with a surplus.
Over those years — the accumulated surplus is almost 9.5 million dollars.
Hunt cautions the Hospital to be prepared for a more challenging year ahead.
He predicts the struggling economy will result in future hospital budget restraints.
The 16.6 million dollar Hospital Budget ended its fiscal year on March 31st.
