Ontario is proposing a one-window approvals process and standardized requirements for renewable energy projects.
What that means to the town of Saugeen Shores will be discussed at a public meeting tonight at the Rotary Hall, in the Plex in Port Elgin.
Ministry of Environment spokesperson Kate Jordan says the meeting is open to everyone.
Jordan says MOE staff will be on hand to explain the province’s proposed plan is and is open to suggestions from those attending.
She says the meeting will cover proposed approval requirements for things such as wind turbines, solar power and biogas projects.
Tonight’s meeting is one of six being held across the province, looking for public input.
Jordan says the information can also be accessed on the province’s Environmental Registry on the web.
You can also leave comments on the web.
Tonight’s meeting will go from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Plex in the Rotary Hall in Port Elgin.
