Charges will not be laid in the death of a Kincardine man on New Year’s Eve.
Robert Cunningham was killed on the morning of December 31st, 2008, when he was hit by a truck on Grey Road 17, southeast of Wiarton.
The 59 year old had been staying with his mother at her home in Georgian Bluffs Township.
He set out around 11:30 AM to walk a short distance to a neighbour’s and was hit by a red Dodge pickup driving westbound on Grey Road 17 near the intersection of Side Road 315.
While neighbours came to his aid, he was pronounced dead in hospital just after noon.
Grey County OPP have now concluded their investigation and say no charges will be laid.
Police also say the name of the driver will not be released.
