Could there be a better location to welcome summer than Sauble Beach?
Residents and visitors are helping the Lake Huron community bring in the season today with the Summer Solstice Canada Celebrations.
Event co ordinator Shane Sargant says the kick off to summer includes a family kite flying event today by the Crowd Inn.
Sargant says the Chamber will be giving out free kites between 10 and 2 pm.
Then on Sunday the First Rid of Summer Motorcycle event will be held.
Bike enthusiasts are encouraged to show up at the beach to park and ride.
Sargant says they’ve got a lot of events planned for Sauble this year and businesses are feeling optimistic — as long as the weather co operates.
