Construction on the 9th Street bridge will not begin until next year.
But Owen Sound residents will have a chance to see what the new 9th street bridge will look like tonight.
A public meeting is being held at 7 PM in council chambers to discuss the reconstruction of the bridge and for residents to give feedback.
Councillor Bill Twaddle says three concepts for the lay-out of the bridge will be revealed.
Twaddle says he is anxious to hear how the public feels about the bridge and what it may look like.
The province requires the city to complete an environmental assessment on the impact of the project.
Twaddle says they will look at how the bridge will affect nature and traffic flow through the downtown.
All three of the options will include a two-lane bridge for vehicles and two multi-purpose lanes for walkers and bicycles.
