The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce is inviting all members to join in a special webcast.
Ontario Small Business and Consumer Services minister Harinder Takhar will be participating in a Peer-to-Peer panel discussion on the single sales tax, introduced in the 2009 Ontario Budget, and will be providing information on what small and medium enterprises need to know.
Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce General Manager Joanne Robbins says it’s an opportunity for the small business owners to question the minister in the interactive event.
Robbins says anyone can take part in the panel discussion by logging on to the Chamber of Commerce web site and following the links.
Robbins says this session, part of an ongoing monthly series of interactive stakeholder forums, which will be webcast live on Monday from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM.
Robbins says there should be some interesting questions from her area since merchants are on the fence when it comes to the implementation of the harmonized sales tax.
She says those against it says the timing is just not right in these economic times.
